Two youngsters are playing very well for the Baltimore Orioles
Outfielder Luis Montanez and 1B Oscar Salazar have come up from the minors swinging. Montanez has played in 30 games for the Orioles this season and he is 27 for 87 (.310 avg, .793 OPS) with 16 runs scored, 2 homers and 11 RBIs. Salazar has played in 24 games for the Orioles this season and he is 14 for 54 (.259 avg, .943 OPS) with 12 runs scored, 5 homers and 13 RBIs. Both of these guys are making good first impressions on the Orioles and they could make the team and have prominent roles on the 2009 version of the Orioles.
